Charlie Shotwell is an American actor. His roles include the films Man Down , Captain Fantastic , The Glass Castle , My Days of Mercy , All the Money in the World , The Nightingale , Troop Zero , Eli (2019), The Nest (2020), John and the Hole , and Morbius ; and the podcast Borrasca .
His brothers are actors Jimmy Shotwell and Henry Shotwell.
Charlie’s paternal grandfather was Alan James Shotwell (the son of James Henry Shotwell and Alice Peyton Taylor). Alan was born in Washington, D.C. James was the son of Daniel Bronson Shotwell and Eva Corinda Enger, who was born in Minnesota, to Norwegian parents. Alice was the daughter of Franklin Minor Taylor and Alice Poindexter Peyton.
Charlie’s paternal grandmother is Adele Virginia Goss (the daughter of Lee Adalbert Goss and Virginia Elizabeth Davis). Adele was born in Virginia. Lee was the son of Willard Levi Goss and Beulah Figg. Virginia was the daughter of David Malcolm Davis and Adelia Hammond Fought, and was of half German descent.
Charlie’s maternal grandfather is Fulton Floyd Hanson, Jr. (the son of Fulton Floyd Hanson, Sr. and Lorraine Mildred Petersen/Orr). Charlie’s grandfather Fulton was born in Minnesota. Charlie’s great-grandfather Fulton was the son of Asa Carl Skinner/Hanson, whose mother likely was of Norwegian descent, and of Bernice A. Fulton.
