Cheryl Tiegs is an American model, fashion designer, and actress. She is sometimes described as the first American supermodel, and appeared on the covers of Sports Illustrated and Time . Her 1978 “Pink Bikini” poster is considered iconic. Her roles include the film The Brown Bunny and the shows Just Shoot Me! , True Beauty , and Family Guy .

She is the daughter of Phyllis and Theodore Tiegs, who was an auto-assembly lineman and funeral director. Her family moved to Alhambra, California, in 1952. Cheryl has a son with her former husband, actor Anthony Peck; and two children with her former husband, yoga and meditation teacher, author, and speaker Rod Stryker. Anthony is the son of actor Gregory Peck and arts patron, philanthropist, and journalist Veronique Passani.

Cheryl’s paternal grandfather was Theodore Otto Tiegs (the son of Frank Tiegs and Anna Hohnestern/Hohenstern). Theodore was born in Hankinson, North Dakota. Frank was born in Iron Ridge, Dodge, Wisconsin, the son of Hermann Tiegs and Johanna Buss, who were German emigrants, from Pomerania. Anna was a German emigrant, from Pomerania, the daughter of Friedrich Carl Hohenstern and Emilie Caroline Wilhelmina Braun.

Cheryl’s paternal grandmother was Emma Augusta Westphal (the daughter of Wilhelm Fredrich Ludwig Max Westphal and Mathilda F. Fiebelcorn). Emma was born in Brightwood, North Dakota, to German parents. Wilhelm was from New Leipzig, the son of Fredrich August Westphal and Augusta Goonake. Mathilda was from Dombrava, the daughter of Karl Heinrich Theodore Fiebelcorn/Fiebelkorn and Ernestine Berg.

Cheryl’s maternal grandfather was Arthur Laurence Kramer (the son of Albert Lorenz Kramer and Anna Wolf). Arthur was born in Renville, Minnesota. Arthur was a German immigrant, the son of Hendrick W. Kramer and Johanna Wilhelmina Studelberg. Anna was born in Iowa, the daughter of German parents.

Cheryl’s maternal grandmother was Antonia Alwina Amanda Burenhoff/Butenhoff (the daughter of Franz Gottlieb August Butenhoff and Wilhelmine/Minnie Koeppe). Antonia was born in Emmet Township, Renville, Minnesota. Franz was a German emigrant, from Gandelin, Pomerania, the son of August Ferdinand Butenhoff and Johanna Maria Marth. Cheryl’s great-grandmother Wilhelmine was born in Lake Prairie Township, Minnesota, the daughter of German emigrants, Ernst Wilhelm Friedrich Koeppe, from Hermelsdorf, Naugard, Pomerania, Prussia, and Henrietta Louisa Amalia Wilke, from Pommern, Cochem-Zell, Rhineland-Palatinate.
