Chris Botti is an American jazz trumpeter and composer. He won a Grammy Award in 2013.
His mother, Shirley Louise, was a pianist and piano teacher, and his father, Lido Botti, was a teacher of Italian. His father was born in Oregon, to Italian parents, who were from Montevarchi, Province of Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, and had emmigrated in 1922. Chris was raised in Corvallis, Oregon.
