Chrissy Amphlett was an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. She was the frontwoman of rock/new wave band Divinyls, and of the band The Tulips.

She was the daughter of Mary Olive and James Henry “Jim” Amphlett. Chrissy was a cousin of singer Little Pattie (born Patricia Thelma Amphlett). She was married to drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Charley Drayton, until her death.

Chrissy’s paternal grandfather was William Robert Amphlett (the son of Joseph Gregory Amphlett and Mary Ann/Anne O’Keefe). William was born in Melbourne, Victoria, and was a chef. Joseph was born in Collingwood, City of Yarra, Victoria, the son of Robert Amphlett, who was English, from Devon; and of Phillis Pearson, who was Scottish, from Edinburgh. Chrissy’s great-grandmother Mary Ann was the daughter of Irish emigrants, Micahel O’Keeffe/O’Keefe, from County Westmeath; and Mary Brennan, from County Mayo.
