Christian McCaffrey is an American professional football player. A running back, he plays for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously with the Carolina Panthers. He is nicknamed CMC.
Christian is the son of Elizabeth (Sime), who played college soccer, and Ed McCaffrey (Edward Thomas McCaffrey), a professional football player. His uncle, Billy McCaffrey, was a professional basketball player. His brothers, Max McCaffrey, Dylan McCaffrey, and Luke McCaffrey, are also football players, with Max and Luke having played professionally. He is married to model, actress, television presenter, influencer, beauty queen, and cellist Olivia Culpo , who was Miss Universe 2012. The couple has a daughter.
Christian’s paternal grandfather was named Edward McCaffrey.
Christian’s paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Witz (the daughter of William Francis Witz and Elizabeth Irene Law). Christian’s grandmother Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William was the son of Eugene Joseph Witz and Elizabeh Emma Hoffman, whose parents were German. Relka, who was born in New Jersey, both of them to German parents. Joseph had roots in Oetigheim and Weil.
Christian’s maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Ellen “Betty” Quillian (the daughter of Claude/Claud Bernard Quillian, Jr. and Elizabeth Christian). Christian’s grandmother Elizabeth was born in Ocala, Florida. Claude was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, the son of Claude Bernard Quillian and Ellen Owen “Nell” Pinson.
