Ciara’s paternal grandfather was Robert Dillon Wilson (the son of Meredith Paul Wilson and Edythe Larue Neas/Ness). Robert was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and had deep roots in the U.S. Meredith was the son of Dillon F. Wilson and Grace M. Page, whose mother was English. Edythe was the daughter of Horace Maynard Neas and Lona Belle Park.
Ciara’s paternal grandmother is Margaret Anna Schafer (the daughter of Paul Schafer and Marie Mehling). Margaret was born in Montana, to parents of German descent. Paul was a Volga German, from Karamysh, Saratov, Russia, and was the son of Phillip Schafer and Katharina Margaretha Kreil. Marie was born in Nebraska, the daughter of Volga German parents, John George Mehling and Anna Elizabeth Wink, who had roots in Hussenbach, Saratov, Russia.
Ciara’s maternal grandfather was Hernan Leones Guiang (the son of Rodolfo Guiang and Maria Leones). Hernan was born in Bugallon, Pangasinan, the Philippines.
Ciara’s maternal grandmother was named Josefina Espino. Josefina was also born in Bugallon.
