A forward and midfielder, he played for New England Revolution, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and Seattle Sounders FC, and the U.S. national team. He is tied for the all-time record of international goals scored by an American player.
Clint is the son of Debralynn and Aubrey Dempsey. He is married to Bethany Keegan, with whom he has six children. He is a practising Catholic.
