She was raised in Hackensack, New Jersey. Coi has a daughter with her partner, rapper, singer, and songwriter Trippie Redd (born Michael Lamar White II).
Coi’s paternal grandfather was named Edward DeJesus.
Coi’s paternal grandmother was Mary A. “Kinky” Timas (the daughter of Manuel Lopes Fontes and Ella Barros). Mary was born in Carver, Massachusetts. Ella was the daughter of Joseph Barros and Catherine Pires.
