Colby Minifie is an American actress. Her roles include the films The Greatest (2009), Beware the Gonzo , Camilla Dickinson , Deep Powder , Don’t Think Twice , Submission , Radium Girls , I’m Thinking of Ending Things , and The Surrender (2025); and the shows Jessica Jones , Dietland , The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel , The Boys , Fear the Walking Dead , and Gen V .

Colby’s paternal grandfather was The Rev. Benjamin Minifie (the son of William Joseph H. Minifie/Mennifi and Harriett E. Turner). The Rev. Benjamin was born in New York, and was an Episcopal cleric, who was rector of Grace Church, from 1960 to 1975. William was born in New York, the son of an English father, and of a mother named Kate L. Harriett was born in New Jersey, the daughter of German parents.

Colby’s paternal grandmother was Frances Turner Jackson (the daughter of Charles Edward Jackson and Mary R. Sparklin). Charles was the son of Henry Jackson and Annie M. Saker, who was born in Wales, to an English father and a Welsh mother. Mary was the daughter of Eugene Sparklin and Mary C. Hardesty.

Colby’s maternal grandfather was Thomas Ward Miles (the son of Russell Livingston Miles and Eleanor Kemp Thomas). Thomas was a cretired public relations officer, who operated his own firm, Thomas W. Miles & Associates. Russell was the son of John Ward Miles, whose mother was English, and of Mattie Mitchell Kane. Eleanor was the daughter of Edward F. Thomas and Alice Ann Kirtz, and was of mostly German descent.

Colby’s maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Olive McCutchins Blood (the daughter of Robert McCutchins Blood and Olive Whitmore Nickerson). Elizabeth was born in Montréal, Québec, to American parents; and was chairman of the safety committee of John Eaton Elementary School, a founding member and chairman of the Community Coordinating Council for Washington Integrated Secondary Education, as well as writer for publications for the Department of Labor. Colby’s great-grandfather Robert was the son of Dr. Robert Allen Blood and Elizabeth A. McCutchins. Colby’s great-grandmother Olive was born in Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, the daughter of Theodore Churchill Nickerson, who was Canadian; and of Elizabeth A. Rogers.
