Colton Underwood is an American professional football player and television personality. A defensive end, he played for Illinois State in college, and was with the San Diego Chargers, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He has appeared on reality shows The Bachelorette , Bachelor in Paradise , The Bachelor , Coming Out Colton , and Beyond the Edge . He is the first lead in The Bachelor franchise to have come out as gay. He is 6′3″.
Colton is the son of Donna and Scott Underwood. His father played football and his mother played volleyball, both at Illinois State University. Colton is married to Democratic Party strategist Jordan C. Brown, with whom he has a son. He is a Christian.
