Among his maternal ancestors is Deanna Attakullakulla, who is said to have been born in South Carolina, c. 1760, and to have been of Cherokee Native American descent. She married John Reubin Flanagin/Flannagin, an Irish emigrant, from County Cork.
Craig’s paternal grandfather was Earl Eric/Erick Stark (the son of Daniel E. Stark and Loula Adeline Slaydon). Earl was born in Louisiana. Daniel was born in Louisiana. Loula was born in Louisiana, the daughter of Elias Arthur A. Slaydon and Martha Francine Green.
