Cris Carter is an American professional football player. A wide receiver, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He is executive director of player engagement for Florida Atlantic, for whom he has also been volunteer coach.
Cris is the son of Joyce Catherine and Clarence Eugene Carter. His brother is professional basketball player and coach Butch Carter. He was partly raised in Middletown, Ohio. He has two children, including professional football player Duron Carter. Cris is a Christian.
