Dana Brunetti is an American media executive, film producer, and entrepreneur. He is known for co-producing films The Social Network and Captain Phillips , and the series House of Cards . He joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1992, serving until 1995.
Among his siblings is artist, designer, and director Erik Brunetti. He was raised in Covington, Virginia. He has a daughter with his former partner, costume designer Johanna Argan.
Dana’s paternal grandfather was Aurelio G. “Rello” Brunetti (the son of Mariano “Mike” Brunetti and Ersilia “Elsie” Bartoloni). Aurelio was born in New Jersey, to parents from Corinaldo, province of Ancona, Marche, Italy.
Dana’s paternal grandmother was Rena “Renee” Tarsi (the daughter of Giuseppe “Joseph” Tarsi and Elvira/Alvena Bugagnoli). Rena was born in New Jersey, to parents from Italy. Giuseppe was the son of Mariano Tarsi and Annunziata “Nancy” Genza/Genga.
Dana’s maternal grandfather was John S. “Jack” Birkelbach (the son of John Garfield Birkelbach and Clara D. Delaney). Dana’s grandfather John was born in Pennsylvania. Dana’s great-grandfather John was born in Pennsylvania, the son of John B. Birkelbach and Adaline Hoffman. Clara was born in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Michael J. Delaney, whose parents were from Ireland and England, respectively; and of Sarah Jane Davis, whose parents were Welsh.
Dana’s maternal grandmother was Virginia E. “Ginny” Sengon (the daughter of Thomas Joseph Sengon/Sengow and Margaret Ann Saxon). Virginia was born in Pennsylvania. Thomas was born in New York, to parents from Ireland, Edward F. Sengon and Susan Greeve. Margaret was born in New York, also to parents from Ireland, John Saxon and Margaret Reddington.
