Daniel Murphy is an American professional baseball player. A second baseman and first baseman, he played for the New York Mets, the Washington Nationals, the Chicago Cubs, and the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB).
His brother, Jonathan Murphy, has also played professional baseball. Daniel is married to Victoria “Tori” Ahern, with whom he has three children. Daniel is a devout Christian.
