Sandara Park (박산다라), also known as Dara (다라) or Sandara, is a South Korean singer, actress, model, and television presenter. She is a member of best-selling South Korean girl group 2NE1, with Bom, CL , and Minzy. Her roles include the films Bcuz of U , D’ Lucky Ones , Super Noypi , One Step , and Cheese in the Trap , and the series Krystala , SCQ Reload , Crazy for You , The Return of Iljimae , Dr. Ian , and We Broke Up .
Sandara was born in Busan, South Korea, the daughter of Kim Kyung-Ran and Ik-Su Park. Her name Sandara means “wise and clever.” Her family moved to Daegu in 1993, and then a year later to the Philippines, where she began her career. She returned to South Korea in 2007. Her younger brother is K-Pop singer, songwriter, actor, and model Thunder (born Park Sang-hyun). Thunder is married to singer and actress Mimi.
Sandara is also fluent in English and Tagalog, and speaks conversational Mandarin and Japanese.
