Darío Yazbek Bernal is a Mexican actor. He is known for starring on the series The House of Flowers / La Casa de las Flores and Crime Diaries: The Search , and in the films Daniel & Ana , New Order (2020), The House of Flowers: The Movie , Pet Shop Days , I Don’t Expect Anyone to Believe Me , Good Savage , A History of Love and War , Ramón and Ramón , and Magellan (2025). He has also been credited as Darío Yazbek.
He is the son of Sergio Yazbek Fuentes, a director of photography, and Patricia Bernal Lamarque, an actress and model. His sister is actress Tamara Yazbek. His half-brother is actor Gael García Bernal . On his father’s side, his aunt is photographer Mariana Yazbek and his second cousin was actor Mauricio Garcés (born Mauricio Feres Yazbek).
Darío’s paternal grandfather was Tufic Yazbek Nader (the son of Encamación/Encarnación Yazbek and Isabel Nader). Tufic Yazbek was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, in a Lebanese family. He was a famous fashion photographer during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema.
Darío’s paternal grandmother was named Zaida Fuentes de Yazbek.
Darío’s maternal grandfather was Elias Bernal Pérez/Zazueta (the son of Antonio Bernal Mendoza and Braulia Pérez Rocha). Antonio was born in Portugués, Guasave, Sinaloa, the son of Eligio Bernal Galvez/Galves, who was listed as “Indio” on records; and of María/Ma Sacramento Clemencia/Clementa Mendoza/Mendosa. Braulia was born in Caimanero, Mocorito, Sinaloa, the daughter of Felipe Pérez Pérez and María Indalecia Rocha Espinosa.
Darío’s maternal grandmother was María Lamarque Sáenz/Sainz (the daughter of José Mario Lamarque Bastidas and Juana Sainz Rios). María was from San Ignacio, Sinaloa, Mexico. José was born in La Estancia, Elota, Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of José M. G. Lamarque, who was from Mont-de-Marsan, Landes, Aquitaine, France; and of Francisca Bastidas Sidas. Darío’s great-grandmother Juana was the daughter of Pilar Sainz/Sanez and Dolores Picos/Pios.
