Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, she has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida, since January 3, 2005. She served as Chair of the Democratic National Committee, from May 4, 2011 to July 28, 2016.
Debbie is the daughter of Ann and Larry Wasserman. She is married to Steve Schultz, with whom she has three children.
