Dennis Morgan was an American actor, singer, and rancher. He was also credited as Richard Stanley.
He was the son of Grace June and Frank Edward Morner. He was married to Lillian Vedder, until his death, with whom he had three children.
Dennis had remote Mohawk ancestry through Suster Bouts (1650-1690), who was at least part Native American, and who married a Dutch immigrant, Cornelis Cornelissen Viele.
Dennis’ paternal grandfather was Anders Petter Jonasson (the son of Jonas Andersson and Anna Nilsdotter). Anders was a Swedish emigrant, from Faglum, Skaraborg. Jonas was born in Vasterbitterna, Skaraborg, the son of Anders Andersson and Annika Olofsdotter. Dennis’ great-grandmother Anna was born in Faglum, the daughter of Nils Larsson and Cathrina Svensdotter.
Dennis’ paternal grandmother was Hanna Jonsdotter (the daughter of Jons Svensson and Hanna Mansson). Dennis’ grandmother Hanna was a Swedish emigrant, from Skepparslöf, Kristianstad. Jons was born in Skepparslöf. Dennis’ great-grandmother Hanna was born in Gumlösa, Kristianstad.
Dennis’ maternal grandfather was Grant Oscar Van Dusen (the son of Oscar Derrick Van Dusen and Emeline Fidelia Ensign). Grant was born in Wyocena, Wisconsin. Dennis’ great-grandfather Oscar was born in Genesee, New York, the son of Lawrence Van Dusen and Susan Van Camp. Emeline was born in Cabot, Caledonia, Vermont, the daughter of William Jones Ensign and Leona Smith.
