Dexter Holland is an American singer, songwriter, musician, virologist, and businessperson. He is a co-founder, and lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, main songwriter, and composer, of punk band The Offspring. Other members of the band are Greg K. , Noodles , and Pete Parada .
Dexter is the son of Yvonne and Walter Holland. His father is from a Canadian family. His mother is American. He is married to Amber Sasse. He has a daughter, singer, songwriter, and jazz vocalist Lex Land.
Dexter’s paternal grandfather was Walter Vipond Holland (the son of George Holland and Annie Jane White/Whyte). Walter was born in Ireland. George was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the son of George William Holland and Hannah Seaman. Annie was born in Derry, Ireland.
