Dolores O’Riordan, married name Dolores Mary Eileen O’Riordan Burton, was an Irish musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She was lead vocalist and lyricist for rock band The Cranberries.
Dolores was the daughter of Eileen Greensmith and Terence Patrick O’Riordan. She had three children with her former husband, Canadian-born tour manager Don Burton. She was raised a Roman Catholic.
Dolores’ paternal grandfather was Daniel Riordan (later O’Riordan, the son of Daniel Riordan and Ellen Oliver). Dolores’ great-grandfather Daniel was the son of Daniel Riordan and Ellen Condon. Dolores’ great-grandmother Ellen Oliver was the daughter of Patrick Oliver and Mary Brennan.
