Don Pardo was an American radio and television announcer. He was known for his 38 seasons as the announcer for Saturday Night Live . He was also the announcer for various NBC radio and television shows from 1944 to 2014. He was also known as Dom Pardo.

Don was the son of Valeria/Viola (Romanik/Romanek) and Dominicus/Dominick Pardo, who owned a bakery. His parents were Polish immigrants. He grew up in Norwich, Connecticut, and Providence, Rhode Island. He was married to Catherine Lyons, until her death, with whom he had five children.
