Eddie Matthews was an American professional baseball player. A third baseman, he played for the Boston/Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves, the Houston Astros, and the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was also coach, and then manager, of the Atlanta Braves. He is in the Baseball Hall of Fame as a Braves player.
Eddie was the son of Eloise and Edwin Matthews.
