Eleanor Parker was an American actress. Eleanor was the daughter of Lola Emmeline and Lester Day Parker. She was raised in East Cleveland, Ohio. Eleanor was married to Raymond N. Hirsch, until his death. Eleanor had three children with her former husband Bert E. Friedlob; and a son, actor Paul Clemens, with her former husband, portrait painter Paul Clemens. Her grandson is actor and filmmaker Chasen Parker.

Eleanor was raised a Protestant, and later became a Messianic Jew.

Eleanor’s paternal grandfather was John Parker (the son of Thomas Smith Parker, Jr. and Eliza Smith). John was an English emigrant, form Barrowby, South Kesteven District, Lincolnshire. Thomas was the son of Thomas Smith Parker and Ann Morris. Eliza was born in Grantham, South Kesteven District.

Eleanor’s paternal grandmother was Mary Ann Day (the daughter of William Richard Day and Rebecca Clingo). Mary was English, from Littleport, Cambridgeshire. William was the son of Miles Day and Ruth Stanford, who were from Ely, Cambridgeshire. Rebecca was the daughter of John Clingo and Judith Lee.

Eleanor’s maternal grandfather was George Washington Isett (the son of George Jefferson Isett and Emiline/Emaline/Emeline Price). Eleanor’s grandfather George was born in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, and had deep American roots. Eleanor’s great-grandfather George was the son of Joseph Isett and Sarah Susana Weaver. Emiline was the daughter of Thomas Price and Elizabeth.

Eleanor’s maternal grandmother was Edna Alice Rasey (the daughter of John Cornelius Rasey and Hannah J. Brewer). Edna was born in Wyandot County, Ohio, and had deep roots in the U.S. John was the son of Joseph Rasey and Nancy Ferguson Sprague. Hannah was the daughter of Jacob Anthony Brewer, Jr. and Susan/Susanna Eyman.
