Helena Paparizou, also known as Élena Paparizou, is a Greek and Swedish singer, songwriter, and television personality. She was a member of laïko/Greek folk music Greek-Swedish duo Antique, with Nikos Panagiotidis. Representing Greece, she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. She has appeared on the reality shows Dancing on Ice , Let’s Dance , and The Voice of Greece .
Helena was born in Borås, Västergötland, Sweden, the daughter of Greek parents, Efrosynë “Frosø” Paparizou and Georgios Paparizos. Her family is from Karditsa, western Thessaly. She was raised in Volos, Greece, and Gothenburg, Sweden.
Helena is married to civil engineer Andreas Kapsalis.
