Eli Wallach was an American actor.
His parents, Bertha (Schorr) and Abraham Wallach, were Polish Jewish immigrants. Eli was married to actress Anne Jackson, until his death, with whom he had three children. His niece is historian of France, Joan Wallach Scott, and his great-nephew, Joan’s son, is film critic A. O. Scott.
