Elize du Toit is a South African-born actress.
She was born in Grahamstown, and her family immigrated to Berkshire, England when she was fourteen years old. Her mother is artist Susanne du Toit, who was born in Pretoria. Du Toit is a common Afrikaner surname of French Huguenot origin. Elize has three children with her former husband, British actor Rafe Spall .
Elize’s patrilineal line can be traced to François du Toit, who emigrated from Lille, France, to South Africa, in 1686. Actress and model Charlize Theron and tennis player Roger Federer also descend from him.
