Emile Mosseri is an American composer, pianist, singer, and producer. He has scored the films The Last Black Man in San Francisco , Kajillionaire , Minari , and When You Finish Saving the World .

His father is a psychotherapist and his mother is an architect. His father was born in Egypt, to a Jewish family, and moved to Israel in the 1950s, as did many Egyptian Jews at the time. The Mosseri family has roots farther back in the Jewish community of Livorno, Italy. His brother is businessperson Adam Mosseri, who is the head of Instagram. He was raised in Chappaqua, New York.

Emile’s maternal grandfather was Owen Bernard McManus, Jr. (the son of Owen Bernard McManus and Elsie R. Clark). Emile’s grandfather Owen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Emile’s great-grandfather Owen was born in Pennsylvania, to Irish parents, James J. Mc Manus and Mary Keough. Elsie was born in Pennsylvania, to Northern Irish parents, Robert James Clark and Elizabeth Wiseman.

Emile’s maternal grandmother is Mary Louise Land (the daughter of Clement Joseph Land and Rosemary Kennedy). Mary was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Clement was the son of Philip Leonard Land and Margaret Anita Lawley. Rosemary was the daughter of John William Kennedy and Mary McNulty.
