Emma Răducanu is a British and Canadian professional tennis player. She has a career-high ranking of No. 10 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She has also been British No. 1. At the 2021 US Open, she became the first singles qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam title.

Her father, Ian/Ion Răducanu, is from Bucharest, Romania. Her mother, Renee Zhai (Dongmei), is Chinese, from Shenyang. Her parents worked in finance. Her family moved to Bromley, London, England, when she was two, and she represents the U.K. She has Canadian and U.K. citizenship. Emma speaks fluet Mandarin, and good Romanian.
