Emma Ruth Rundle is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, visual artist, and poet. She has released five solo albums, and is a member of post-rock band Red Sparowes. She was previously a member of The Nocturnes and rock band Marriages.

Her father was a pianist.

Emma’s paternal grandfather was William Donovan Rundle (the son of Donovan Thaddeus Rundle and Clara Louise Gagel). William was born in Chicago, Illinois. Emma’s great-grandfather Donovan was the son of Wiley Norman Rundle and Stella Josephine Jones. Emma’s great-grandmother Clara was the daughter of William G. Gagel, whose parents were German; and of Theresa L. Cunningham, who had Irish ancestry.

Emma’s paternal grandmother was Sarah Adams (the daughter of Blythe Raymond Adams and Margaret Maria Walker). Sarah was born in Higginsville, Missouri. Blythe was the son of Samuel Adams and Elizabeth “Bettie” Blythe. Emma’s great-grandmother Margaret was the daughter of John Walker and Sarah Elizabeth Kelley, whose parents were Irish.

Emma’s maternal grandfather was Gordon McClure (the son of William C. McClure and Maude Cowden). Gordon was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to parents from Missouri. William was the son of Charles A. McClure and Mary Chesnut. Maude was the daughter of James Steele Cowden and Sarah Elisabette Wallis.

Emma’s maternal grandmother was Eleanor Rosalie Setter (the daughter of Joseph Leslie Setter and Lillian Eleanor Swanson). Eleanor was born in Maricopa, Arizona, to parents from New York. Joseph was the son of Joseph Antone Setter, who was of at least half German descent; and of Bethiah Theresa Long, whose father was born in France. Emma’s great-grandmother Lillian was the daughter of Swedish parents, Eric Swanson and Caroline Nelson.
