Emmanuel Macron is a French politician, civil servant, and investment banker. He has been President of France , and Co-Prince of Andorra, since 14 May, 2017. He is a member of the En Marche! party. He has also been Deputy Secretary-General to the President, from 15 May, 2012 to 15 July, 2014, and Minister of Economics and Finance, from 26 August, 2014 to 30 August, 2016.
President Macron’s father, Jean-Michel Macron, is a doctor, and a professor of neurology at the University of Picardy. President Macron’s mother, Françoise Macron-Noguès, is a doctor. He is married to his former lycée teacher Brigitte Macron (born Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux).
