Emmanuelle Seigner is a French actress, fashion model, and singer.
She is married to Academy Award-winning French-Polish director Roman Polanski , with whom she has two children, including actress and model Morgane Polanski. Emmanuelle was born in Paris, France, to a photographer father and a journalist mother. Her sister is actress Mathilde Seigner.
Emmanuelle’s paternal grandfather was actor Louis Seigner (1903-1991), chairman of the Comédie Française (Louis Joseph Seigner, the son of François Jean Joseph Seigner and Louise Henriette Magdeleine Monin). Louis was born in Saint-Chef, Isère, Rhône-Alpes. François was the son of François Seigner and Magdeleine Mathan. Louise was the daughter of Joseph Monin and Magdeleine Eugénie Chomard.
Emmanuelle’s paternal grandmother was named Marie Cazeaux.
