Ersan İlyasova is a Turkish professional basketball player. A power forward, he played with Yeşilyurt, Ülkerspor, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA G League, FC Barcelona, Anadolu Efes, the Detroit Pistons, the Orlando Magic, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Assocation (NBA). He is 6′9″.
He is said to have been born in Eskişehir, Turkey, to Crimean Tatar parents, Iraliye and Anvar İlyasova. He is married to Julia, with whom he has three children. Julia was born in Belarus.
Ersan is a Muslim.
Ersan is sometimes believed to have been born in 1984 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, and to have migrated to Turkey as a teen. It is not clear if this is accurate.
Crimean Tatars are genetically related to the Turkish population.
