Faizon Love is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his roles in the films Friday (1995), Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood , Elf , The Perfect Holiday , and Couples Retreat .
Faizon was raised by Ernestine and Richard P. Love. He was evidently born Langston Faizon Santisima in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Faizon has described himself as “Cuban Black.” It appears that he is of African-Cuban background, and was adopted by his African-American parents (see here and here for said intimations). Because of his adoptive father’s U.S. Navy career, Faizon was raised a military brat, living in Southeast San Diego, California, and Newark, New Jersey.
Richard P. Love was born in Georgia, the son of Richard O. Love, who was also born in Georgia, and Dorothy/Patience Duncan, who was born in South Carolina.
Ernestine Love was the daughter of John Henry Parmer and Lois Lewis, who were born in Greenville, Alabama.
