Félix Manalo was the founder and first Executive Minister of the Philippine-based religious organization Iglesia ni Cristo.

He was the son of Bonifacia Manalo y Cruz, or Bonifacia Cruz Manalo in Filipino, and Mariano Ysagun y Manalo/Villanueva, or Mariano Manalo/Villanueva Ysagun in Filipino. It was sometime after his mother’s death that he decided on his mother’s surname over his father’s surname.

Félix was married to Tomasa Sereneo, until her death, and then to Honorata de Guzmán, until his death. He had a son with Tomasa, and six children with Honorata, including the second Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo, Eraño Manalo . Félix was the paternal grandfather of the third and current Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo Eduardo V. Manalo .

All of Félix’s known ancestors were listed as “Indios” (Natives) on church records.

Félix’s paternal grandfather was Salvador Ysagun y de la Cruz (or Salvador de la Cruz in Filipino, the son of Ygnacio Ysagun and María de la Cruz).

Félix’s paternal grandmother was either Dolores Manalo y Aquino (or Dolores Aquino Manalo in Filipino) or Teresa Villanueva.

Félix’s maternal grandfather was Andrés Manalo y Torres (or Andrés Torres Manalo in Filipino, the son of Manuel Manalo y Pili, or Manuel Pili Manalo in Filipino, and of Cándida Torres). Andrés was born in Taguig, Metro Manila. Manuel was the son of Evaristo Manalo Manalo and María Pili. Both of Evaristo’s family names are the same.

Félix’s maternal grandmother was named María Cruz. María was born in Taguig, Metro Manila.
