Ferran Adriá is a Spanish chef from Catalonia. He was the head chef of the elBulli restaurant in Roses, Girona, on the Costa Brava and is considered one of the best chefs in the world.

Ferran is the son of Josefa Acosta Sánchez and Ginés Adriá Muñoz. His father was born in Vilalba dels Arcs, Tarragona. His mother was born in Almería, Andalusia. His brother is pastry chef Albert Adrià.
