France Nuyen is a French-American actress, model, and psychological counselor. She is known for her roles in the films South Pacific , Satan Never Sleeps , A Girl Named Tamiko , and The Joy Luck Club .

Her father was Vietnamese, and possibly also had Chinese ancestry. Her mother was French, and has been described as having at least partial Romani ancestry. France moved to the New York City, New York, U.S. at the age of sixteen. She has one daughter with her former husband, psychiatrist Thomas Gaspar Morell.
