Gail’s paternal grandfather was James Robert O’Grady (the son of Jeremiah O’Grady II and Mary Dolorosa Thompson). James was born in Rochester, New York. Jeremiah was the son of Irish emigrants, from County Kerry, Jeremiah O’Grady, from Tomies; and Eliza Bean. Gail’s great-grandmother Mary was also the daughter of Irish emigrants, Robert Holmes Thompson and Anna O’Leary, who was from County Cork.
Gail’s paternal grandmother was Rosa Jane Fletcher (the daughter of Francisco/”Frank” Facciutto/”Fletcher” and Dominica Priziosi). Rosa was born in Larimer, Pennsylvania, to Italian parents. Francisco was from Naples, Campania, the son of Giuseppi Facciutto and Maria Rosa Colabella. Dominica was the daughter of Lidorio Priziosi and Maria Antonacci, who were also Italian, likely from Campobasso, Molise.
Gail’s maternal grandfather was Robert Thurman Calbert (the son of William Bates Calbert and Leona A. Bush). Robert was born in Clinton, Kentucky, and had deep American roots. William was the son of John Wesley Calbert and Sarah Jane Evans. Leona was the daughter of Zachariah Bush and Nancy Ann McCrary.
Gail’s maternal grandmother was Trula B. Humphreys (the daughter of Andrew Alexander Humphreys and Frances Elizabeth Pharis). Trula was born in Hickman, Kentucky, and had deep roots in the U.S. Andrew was the son of Absalom M. Humphreys and Sarah Howard Bugg. Frances was the daughter of Nathan Pharis and Sarah Adeline Nall.
