Gayatri Patel Bahl is an American actress, filmmaker, and Indian classical dancer. She has appeared in both Hindi and American films. Among her Bollywood roles is Let’s Dance (2009).
Gayatri was born and raised in the U.S. She is skilled in Kathak, and has been described as a “dancing tornado” on the dance floor. She was trained in dance in Bangalore and Mumbai. Gayatri speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. She was first runner-up in the Miss India United States competition. Gayatri is married to Sumeet Bahl, M.D., and has one child.
