Gena Lee Nolin is an American actress and model. She has starred on the series Baywatch and Sheena , the latter as the title character; and in The Underground Comedy Movie . She was a model on The Price Is Right and a panelist on Hollywood Squares .
Gena is the daughter of Patricia and Ronald Nolin. She is of one half Scandinavian [Norwegian, some Swedish], and roughly one quarter Irish, ancestry; her other roots are mostly English, with deep lines in the U.S. She is a descendant of Lady Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, and her husband Sir William Carey, among other nobility. Her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, during her late teens.
Gena is married to Canadian professional ice hockey player Cale Hulse. She has a son with her former husband Greg Fahlman; and two children with Cale.
Gena’s paternal grandfather was Leroy/Le Roy Emerson Nolin (the son of Emil Leonard Nolin and Dora Ethel Barber). Leroy was born in Grayling, Aitkin, Minnesota. Emil was born in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Swedish parents, from Älvsborg, Johannes Andersson and Clara Larsdotter. Dora was born in Pike, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas Allen Barber and Martha Jane Hurt, and had deep roots in the U.S.
Gena’s paternal grandmother was Harriet/Harriett Marion Hatleli/Hatlekin (the daughter of Olaf/Olof Emil Hatleli and Lillian M. Christianson). Harriet was born in Albert Lea, Freeborn, Minnesota. Olaf was born in Minnesota, the son of Lars Olsen Hatleli, who was born in Leikanger, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway; and of Marie Johnson, whose parents were also Norwegian. Gena’s great-grandmother Lillian was born in New Richland, Waseca, Minnesota, to a mother surnamed Olson, and was of Scandinavian descent.
Gena’s maternal grandfather was William George Rodgers (the son of Andrew Rodgers and Mary Alicia “May” Huggard). William was born in Minnesota, to Irish parents. Mary was born in County Mayo, the daughter of Robert Martin Huggard and Miriam Jane Leonard.
Gena’s maternal grandmother was Marie Frances Sween (the daughter of Herbert Joseph Sween and Grace B. Malloy). Marie was born in Minnesota. Herbert was born in Minnesota, the son of John Sween, who was Norwegian, and of Emma Johanna Hanson, who was born in Minnesota, to Norwegian parents. Grace was born in Minnesota, the daughter of Dennis C. Malloy and Maud M. Wellman, and had deep lines in the U.S.
