Gene Tenace, full name Fury Gene Tenace, is an American professional baseball player, and coach and manager. A catcher and first baseman, he played for the Oakland Athletics, the San Diego Padres, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). He also coached, and managed, the Toronto Blue Jays, and coached the Houston Astros.
Gene is the son of Ethel Catherine and Fiore Pietro Tenace.
