Geneviève Bujold is a Canadian actress. She is the daughter of Marie-Blanche-Lauretta/Laurette, a maid, and Joseph Firmin Bujold, a bus driver. All of Geneviève’s grandparents were born in Québec. She has a son, actor and director Matt Almond, with her former husband, screenwriter, director, producer, and novelist Paul Almond; and a son with her former partner, carpenter Dennis Hastings.
Geneviève’s paternal grandfather was Olivier Bujold (the son of Joseph Salomon/Solomon Bujold and Anastasie Goulet). Olivier was born in Bonaventure. Joseph was born in Bonaventure, the son of Théophile Bujold and Marie Reine Bernard. Anastasie was born in Carleton, Bonaventure, the daughter of Joseph Goulet and Colette Mius D’Entremont.
Geneviève’s paternal grandmother was Judith Lepage (the daughter of Dominique Lepage and Marie Paquet). Dominique was born in Québec, the son of Ephrem Lepage and Théotiste/Théoliste Landry. Marie was born in Québec, the daughter of Louis Pasquet Dit Lavallee/Laurent Paquet and Marie Julie Hébert.
Geneviève’s maternal grandfather was Eloi Cavanagh (the son of Joseph Cavanagh/Cavanaugh and Marie Elisabeth Poirier). Eloi was born in Bonaventure. Joseph was born in Québec, the son of Maurice Cavanagh, whose father was Irish, and whose maternal grandfather was from Vic-Fezensac, Auch, Gers, Midi-Pyrénées, France; and of Olive Hébert. Geneviève’s great-grandmother Marie was born in Bonaventure, the daughter of Olive/Olivier Poirier and Elisabeth Arbour.
Geneviève’s maternal grandmother was Catherine/Marie Marguerite Henry (the daughter of Maxime Henry and Marie Anastasie Bujold). Catherine was born in Bonaventure, to parents who were also born there. Maxime was the son of Lazare Joseph Henry and Marie Geneviève Poirier/Poirer. Geneviève’s great-grandmother Marie was the daughter of Janvier Bujold and Geneviève Arsenault.
