George North is a Welsh professional rugby union player. A centre and wing, he plays for Provence. He was previously with Scarlets, Northampton Saints, and Ospreys, and the Wales national team and British & Irish Lions. He is 6′4″.
His father, Dave North, is English, and from Yorkshire. His mother, Jan, is Welsh, and from Anglesey, Wales. The family moved to Anglesey when he was two. He is a fluent Welsh language speaker. George is married to Olympic professional racing cyclist Becky James, with whom he has one child.
He has stated :
