Gianluigi Buffon, also known as Gigi Buffon, is an Italian professional footballer. A goalkeeper, he played for Parma, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain, and the Italy national team. He is team coordinator for the Italy national team.
Gianluigi is the son of Maria Stella Masocco and Adriano Buffon. His paternal grandparents were from Pertegada, near Latisana, Province of Udine, Friuli Venezia-Giulia. His mother’s family has roots in Province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany. He is married to sports pundit, journalist, and television host Ilaria D’Amico. He has two children with his former wife, Czech-born actress and model Alena Šeredová; and a son with Ilaria.
