He was a member of Mexico’s Olympic Gold Medal-winning team.
His father, Zizinho (born Geraldo Francisco dos Santos), was a Brazilian professional footballer, who played as a midfielder, and was of African-Brazilian descent. His mother, Liliana Ramirez, is Mexican. His brothers are professional footballers Éder dos Santos and Jonathan dos Santos.
