Glenn Frey was an American musician, singer, songwriter, actor, and producer. He was a founding member, co-lead singer, and frontman of rock band Eagles. Other members of the group include/have included Don Felder , Don Henley , Bernie Leadon , Randy Meisner , and Joe Walsh .
Glenn was born to Nellie Marie and Robert George Cedar. He was raised by his mother and her second husband, Edward “Eddie” Warren Frey. He was married to dancer and choreographer Cindy Millican, with whom he had three children.
Glenn’s paternal grandfather was James Edward Cedar (the son of William DuCidre/Cedar and Helene/Heleine/Ellen Boucher/Bouchet/Bushey). James was born in Kent, Ontario, Canada, of French-Canadian descent.
Glenn’s paternal grandmother was Charlotte H. Watson (the daughter of Ernest Watson and Eliza Elizabeth Howcroft). Charlotte was born in Michigan, to English parents.
Glenn’s maternal grandfather was George Dewey Markham (the son of John Markham and Lucy Sue Scott). George was born in West Virginia. John was the son of Lewis Markham and Ardelia Randolph. Lucy was the daughter of Mandaville Jackson Scott and Rebecca Ann Cooper.
Glenn’s maternal grandmother was Edith May/Mae/Mabel McVey (the daughter of Sanford Jackson McVey and Mable/Mabel Claire Dean). Edith was born in West Virginia. Sanford was the son of John Lewis McVey and America Virginia Ellen Jenkins. Mable was the daughter of Jessie Pepper Dean and Sarah Martin.
