Greg K. is an American musician and songwriter. He is the bass guitarist and backing vocalist of punk rock band The Offspring. Other members of the band are Dexter Holland , Noodles , and Pete Parada .
Greg is the son of Donna Ann Marie (Lapointe) and David Eric Kriesel. His father has German, Irish, English, and Dutch, ancestry. His mother is of French-Canadian descent.
Greg’s paternal grandfather was Bernard Albert Kriesel (the son of Albert Bernard Kriesel and Helen McCarthy). Greg’s great-grandfather Albert was born in New York, to German parents, John Kriesel and Albertina Tetzlaff. Helen, and her parents, were born in New York, and were likely of Irish ancestry.
