Hallie Todd is an American actress, producer, and writer. She is known for her role as Lizzie’s mother Jo on the series Lizzie McGuire and in The Lizzie McGuire Movie . Her roles also include the films Sam’s Son , The Mooring (2012), An American Girl: Lea to the Rescue , and The Last Champion ; the shows Sara , Brothers , Murder, She Wrote ; Going Places , Life with Roger , and Kim Possible ; and the made-for-tv movies The Ultimate Christmas Present and National Lampoon’s Thanksgiving Family Reunion .
Hallie is the daughter of writer and television producer George Eckstein and actress and comedian Ann Morgan Guilbert. She is married to actor, director, producer, and writer Glenn Withrow, with whom she has a daughter. Her sister, Nora Eckstein, was also an actress, and talent agent and coach.
Hallie’s paternal grandfather was George V. Eckstein (the son of Sigmund Eckstein and Helen Klein). George was born in New York City, New York, to Austrian Jewish parents.
