Harold Baines is an American professional baseball player. A designated hitter and right fielder, he played for the Chicago White Sox, the Texas Rangers, the Oakland Athletics, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Cleveland Indians, for a total of twenty two seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was coach of the Chicago White Sox.
Harold is the son of Odie and Lindwood Baines, Jr. He is married to Marla Henry, and has four children.
Harold’s paternal grandfather was Lynwood Baines, Sr. (the son of Oscar Baines, Sr. and Margaret Sarah Church).
Harold’s paternal grandmother was Martha L. Upshur (the daughter of Isam Alvin Upshur and Mary Beckett).
