Ilse DeLange is a Dutch country and pop singer. She represented Netherlands as a member of The Common Linnets, alongside Waylon , in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, finishing in second place.

Ilse’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her seventh great-grandfather, Scherp Hendricx Gortemaker.

Ilse’s paternal grandfather was Harm de Lange (the son of Jan de Lange and Emmegien Slot). Harm was born in Vriezenveen. Jan was the son of Geert de Lange and Berendje de Lange, who were born with the same surname. Emmegien was the daughter of Gerrit Slot and Koopje Snijder.
