Ingrid Oliver is a British-German actress, comedian, and writer. She is one half of comic act Watson & Oliver, with Lorna Watson. The two starred on the show of the same name, which Ingrid also wrote for.
Her father is German. Her mother is English, Conservative Party politician Jo Gideon, who has been a Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent Central, since 12 December, 2019. She is married to English author, television presenter, producer, novelist, and comedian Richard Osman.
Ingrid’s maternal grandfather was Eric Gideon. Eric was a D-Day veteran, who received the Légion d’Honneur for his service to France during WWII.
